Using individually packed sterile needles, for hair removal an electric current is passed into the hair shaft to stunt future growth. To treat thread veins, blood spots and skin tags the electric current is applied at the skin surface by tapping a very fine needle along the affected area. The blood vessel is thus cauterized, i.e. destroyed by heat. The skin is blanched and the red colour disappears, the blood being reabsorbed by the body.

Ecolite IR – Diode Laser
The Ecolite IR Diode Laser employs state-of-the-art technology in permanent reduction of excessive or unwanted hair.
How does the system work?
The laser light safely and gently passes through the dermis allowing the laser light to be absorbed into the hair root destroying the cells so they can no longer produce hair.
Does it hurt?
The laser light does not injure the surrounding skin and the procedure is virtually pain-free with no anaesthesia required. Some clients describe the sensation as a soothing hot stone massage.
What are the side effects?
The Ecolite IR diode laser is completely safe. The skin of some clients could become a little red immediately after treatment, however, in most cases there are no side effects at all, and any skin reactions should disappear within hours to a few days.
How many treatments are necessary?
During your consultation, your hair and skin will be assessed and you will be recommended a bespoke program that will offer you the best results for your needs. Only hair in the growth phase can be treated. The number of hairs in the phase varies from 20% to 70% depending on the hair site. The lengths of the growth cycles also vary from 6 to 24 weeks depending on the body site.
For most patients, three to seven treatments are sufficient to permanently reduce an area of hair up to 85%. Research shows that the majority of people treating standard areas such as the bikini or legs achieve 80-85% hair reduction on average.
After a course of treatment the hair growth may slow to months or even years before new hairs show up. This is why maintenance is required after the initial course and we recommend a yearly follow up session to maintain your desired results. All treatment results are individual.
How do I prepare for the treatment?
Clients should avoid the sun and any tanning for 4-6 weeks before and after treatment. Immediately after each treatment session the skin is particularly sensitive to UV light. To avoid any chance of adverse side effects, unprotected sun exposure should be avoided and a SPF 30+ sunblock should be used.
What should I expect post treatment?
Because treated follicles have been heated, the area may become red and possibly swell for 1-3 days. Swelling results from heat, not infection, and is therefore normal and expected.
A consultation and patch test is required before commencing the treatment. A patch test will be charged at £10.00.
Clients must be over 18.
